Insects and Hygiene

It is a known fact that large colonies of insects and germs live with us, right below us, under the flooring of our own house or building.  Just bigger size insects can be seen only when an occasional one comes to our notice.  Just one visible insect means a whole colony already exists and keep growing fast right below us.  Tiny insects and germs remain invisible to our eyes.

Insects and germs can healthy grow in soil and sand when the condition become favorable - ants, termites, centipedes, bugs and other under ground insects. 

Flooring of a building offers a healthy and welcoming environment to these creatures to grow, flourish and make colonies, though unnoticeably most of the times.   Slowly, the space they occupy grows as the colonies grow.  By time, the surface below the flooring starts losing its solidity, sometimes also results in uneven flooring surface.  These creatures make their passages through the weak joints to come out in search of food, etc. 

They not only harm us with their bites (sometimes even poisonous), they can work as perfect carrier of germs and when they move all around the flooring area, including over utensils and food stuff, they transmit germs; even their dead shells and droppings are unhygienic and may harm the health.

Ineffective measures

Normally, any long term protection against these harmful creatures is not effective since the chemical pesticides, applied before flooring, lose their effectiveness by time (insects’ infestation even in pesticide-treated flooring beds can easily prove this fact).  

Secondly, it is a well known fact that commonly a chemical pesticide which proves effective on initial applications becomes ineffective on its subsequent application on the same insects.  This is because the insects develop resistance against the chemicals, necessitating the usage of more powerful or different pesticide formula.

Furthermore, no pest control method can be applied below the flooring since, once done, we cannot remove the flooring, time to time, to apply any pesticide.  Consequently, we have to live with these creatures and keep suffering from their constant and unsuspected attacks. 

Optimum & durable hygienic condition

For areas demanding high hygienic environment, like operation theaters, hospitals, laboratories, etc., a specialized product is developed with unique mineral formulation.  Its specialized mineral combination increases its life and effectiveness when applied and covered by the flooring.

No extraordinary claims:  No certification of high standard is required since FloorMate does not claim extraordinary results.  It just claims normal actions that it will stop the growth and presence of germs and insects under the flooring where no insecticide can even reach to treat once the flooring is done. 

Totally risk-free usage:  FloorMate is not meant to be used in any kind of risk-prone areas of a building – like R.C.C. slab, foundation, walls, structure, plaster, color work, etc.  It just goes below the flooring where just ordinary soil or sand is used and where no strength criteria, no delicacy or none such requirements are met.  Therefore, no certification of standards is required.  Its use in a building does not affect any kind of building standards but, on the contrary, it increases the standard of the construction and optimizes its desirable specifications.

Economical:   Though selective minerals are precisely formulated, the use of FloorMate is still economical.  Just with a fractional increase in the budget all the advantages of FloorMate can be availed. 

Dosage and Application

Just mix FloorMate’s powder with some soil and spread evenly as the final leveling layer just before laying the flooring stones or tiles.

One kilogram of FloorMate, after being mixed with soil or sand, can cover a surface area of about 2.5 square meter of about 1 cm thickness. 

FloorMate can also be mixed in the whole leveling soil’s bed.  If so, increase FloorMate’s quantity in accordance with the thickness of the leveling surface.  If the leveling soil-bed’s thickness is about 3 cm, then one kilogram can cover about 1.5 square meter area.   

FloorMate must be applied wherever the soil is used - on all ground and upper floors, including the paved area around a building but excluding the gardening portion.
